Learning Content

During this course, you will: 

  • learn and practise contemporary approaches to participative and facilitative leadership
  • understand your individual style, team style and leadership style
  • practise tools and skills for inclusive and participative change leadership
  • practise tools, interventions and techniques that can be used in a variety of settings
  • have time in between sessions, for direct application as well as for action learning group processes where you will be coached to support learning and development
  • practise action learning, action research and process management for leading others
  • be part of creating learning communities of leaders who see the need for collaboration rather than competition as a means to an end

    Outcomes

    By the end of the Foundations for Leadership Program you will: 

    • Have greater understanding of your own leadership strengths
    • Be able to see and understand situations through multiple lenses
    • Be able to sustain confidence and equilibrium in the midst of pressure and uncertainty
    • Have learned and practised skills needed to shift your team’s or community’s culture towards greater levels of engagement, trust and accountability
